How it works (for us)
~Chairperson understands the workshop and how it works.
~Co-chair has Big Book 4th step understanding & helps chair meeting.
~Open with a reading of "How It Works"
~Introductions around the room
~Chair reads from the section in the Big Book
(see below) and shares experience, strength and hope with the 4th step as he or she reads.
~Co- Chair shares then picks a speaker,
~Chair comments if he or she wishes and picks next speaker, then back to Co-Chair and so it goes until everyone has shared.
~Starting with the second meeting a black or white board is used to show the example in the Big Book and how it progresses to a searching, fearless and moral inventory by the 5th week, as shown in detail on each page of the workshop.
New: 5th step discussion is now included in the final session.
~Q&A's if time allows
~Close with the serenity prayer.
~Members may use the workshop as an opportunity to take their 4th step over the 5 week study
We welcome your feedback and are always open to new ideas that will help serve our primary purpose.
